Recently, I had the opportunity to do something a little different in my studio. I photographed my brother for his acting headshots, against a simple, yet powerful black backdrop. Choosing black was no accident—it’s timeless and focuses all attention on the person in front of the lens, capturing depth, emotion, and character.

It was a session that went beyond the surface, aiming to encapsulate the essence of who he is and where he’s heading. I love how you can see his genuine character in his eyes. I mean you could hardly tell that his is a dork, haha I kid, I kid.

Working so closely with someone I know so well was an insightful experience. It reminded me both of the power of photography to reveal layers we often overlook and the importance of supporting each other’s dreams. These images are more than just headshots; I hope they relay how proud I am of him.
